Solution Manager

This position exists to be responsible of the overall Solution Management for Business Applications. As of start of the mission this includes Front Office (Aquarius and Trinity), Reporting (Business Object), Balance Sheet management (MARS) and Market Data Management (PRISM). This scope
will increase as new solutions are deployed (Accounting, CTRM, etc..) and the solution Management team grows.

This position will be experts on one or many solutions: architecture, operations, common incidents and problems, business usage and teams, supplier, change management and testing.

Main Responsibilities

Be accountable for the proper operations of the elements in scope of responsibility.

  • Monitoring of solutions and related infrastructure to prevent any service disruption
  • Monitoring and support of “End of Period” processes (End of Week, Month, Year)
  • Incident and Problem management
  • Performance monitoring
  • Environment management
  • Issuance of relevant KPIs and SLAs reporting

Ensure proper solution management of the assigned scope, including:

  • Release management and delivery roadmaps
  • Quality assurance
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Communication with business stakeholders

Business Analysis

  • Analyze and understand business rationales of new demands
  • Propose best cost/benefit solutions and foster business approval
  • Ensure that delivery roadmap is in synch with business needs

Accountable for cost controlling on assigned scope

  • Budget proposition
  • Procurement
  • Spent monitoring and reporting

Supplier management

  • Bug and change request declaration
  • Delivery management

Team coordination

  • Work plan and absence management
  • Proximity support and coaching
  • Activity reporting

Experience and knowledge

  • At least 3 years in similar position
  • Solution management, Incident / Problem management, Communication, People Management, Analytical thinking
  • Bachelor in IT
  • Fluent English written/spoken mandatory


Technical/ Functional skills:

  • Oracle & SQL server: data navigation through SQL query
  • Exposition to Commodity Trading
  • SAP Business Object considered a plus
  • Business analyst skills and experience considered a plus

Problem solving:

  • Must be able to handle potentially complex decision taking (or decision making) situation
  • Be able to present complex situation in coherent set of options with sounds valuation and clear proposal
  • Build hypothesis if/when needed and assess impacts when situation changes

Interactions/ interface:

  • Daily interactions with IT Manager and Infrastructure + Security Project Manager
  • Will rely on a network of supplier to either source services and solutions or access technical expertise
  • Will manage an AMS contract with third-party to provide bulk of support efforts
