Accounting Supervisor

What are we looking for?

  • Coach and manage junior team members
  • Oversee the accounting strategy for a region
  • Oversee accounting daily operations
  • Take responsibility for accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data
  • Set up and monitor accounting KPIs
  • Regularly produce financial reports or statements
  • Encourage other employees to adhere to standards
  • Train new employees
  • Perform and oversee annual audits
  • Provide recommendations
  • Meet financial accounting objectives
  • Support tax declaration and filings
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective action

And if you meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a fast paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English
  • Excellent MS Office and Excel skills including Microsoft Dynamics and HFM software
  • Ability to be flexible and work to deadlines and under pressure
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, Master’s preferred
